Postpartum Depression
Postpartum depression is linked to chemical, social, and psychological changes associated with having a baby. The term describes changes that many new mothers experience, these changes are both physical and emotional. The good news is postpartum depression can be treated.
While postpartum depression carries similar symptoms to “baby blues” and what happens normally after childbirth, the major difference is the length of time it lasts and the intensity of the mood swings, feelings of unworthiness, hopelessness, and helplessness.
