Pregnancy Week 14

Week 14.

One-third of your pregnancy is over, the second trimester is upon you and baby is beginning to develop facial impressions. The brain is training the muscles to form different expressions and the mouth is also learning to suck and chew. If the thumb comes near his mouth, he may start sucking on it.

The limbs and body are now growing faster, and the head is becoming more proportionate. Your baby is also beginning to move his arms and legs, but you probably won’t be able to feel it.

Mom, some of the symptoms of trimester one are now gone or reduced, and you will feel a burst of energy.  As the baby continues to grow you will begin feeling more and more pain around your belly area, your ligaments and muscles are stretching and relaxing to accommodate your baby. You may also be ready to start back exercising, now that your energy is back, be sure to consult your doctor first.
