Pregnancy Week 29
Week 29.
The structural development of the baby occurs rapidly during this time, especially the bones. The baby takes in as much calcium as possible to develop the bones further. Dietary care at this point can be very beneficial for the baby.
The baby’s respiratory system is also producing surfactant which keeps the lungs inflated when there is little air in the lungs. If a baby were to be born at this stage, it could survive with medical care.
Mom, your baby is gaining both weight and height and your body is starting to feel the pressure in every way. Headaches, constipation, hemorrhoids, pains, itchy skin, and frequent urination are all common and constant for many women. As your belly gets crowded, you will feel the kicks even more and might even feel a repetitive twitch. The twitch is your baby having hiccups, how cool is that?!
