Pregnancy Week 31

Week 31.

The baby is gaining weight now and the fat deposits are stiffening the previously loose skin. Movement of the head towards both sides is now apparent, and your baby is very active. Kicks and punches are now much more noticeable and frequent, this may be a cause of discomfort but is a sign of good health for the baby.

Mom, you’re probably 21-27 pounds above your normal weight, and your baby claims about 3.3 of those pounds. An ultrasound should show your baby upside down as it prepares for its exit from your belly and into the world, but there is still time for your baby to move into position.

Some enthusiast parents want to take a 3D/4D ultrasound too which can allow you to see your baby in 3D! It is pretty cool, but also a bit expensive.
