Pregnancy Week 34

Week 34.

The baby is quickly adding on more and more fat reserves to increase survival chances and regulate body temperature. Your baby can hear your voice and is listening to you.

Your belly gradually drops lower and lower, as you approach the due date. You may realize you can breathe better, and the heartburn has reduced as your baby moves lower, there is more space and your lungs are under less pressure. You may, however, feel constipated, fatigued and have pressure in lower abdomen and pelvis.

Some mothers go into labor at this time and it can be scary. However, unless the baby has some other health problems, with initial care in a neonatal nursery your pre-term baby can be fine.

Know the Signs of Labour and trust your instincts, it you think something is wrong contact your healthcare professionals.
