Pregnancy Week 9
Week 9.
Yet another week and yet another doubling in the size of the fetus. Your baby is now approximately the size of a grape, teeth are starting to form inside the gums. These will form into the baby’s set of 20 teeth, which fall out in the early stages of life.
The heart is growing and now has all four valves present, your baby’s heartbeat can be heard at this point, be sure to ask your doctor. The ‘tail’ previously seen at the base of the baby has disappeared, the baby is beginning to look more human now and the arms and legs are spontaneously moving.
With the third month about to start, your typical symptoms are still present, morning sickness, mood swings, fatigue, and frequent urination. However, you may also notice a bit of nasal congestion around this time, it’s because of the extra mucus the body is producing. By this time, you may start to feel your clothes become a bit tighter.
