Pregnancy Week 7
Week 7.
The umbilical cord joins the baby to the placenta, it will become the main source of food and oxygen for the baby in the weeks to come. Baby is the size of a blueberry and while this is small, it is thousands of times bigger than at conception. Webbed toes and fingers are now noticeable, and the development of the baby’s head is progressing, brain cells are rapidly multiplying every minute. Your baby has doubled in size since last week and the development will continue.
Mom, you will still feel nauseated and might even feel extra saliva in your mouth. Cravings and aversions from specific foods intensify at this point, along with previous symptoms. While you may feel the urge to push out your belly and “feel” pregnant, you still have a while longer for that bump to begin showing.
