Pregnancy Week 6
Week 6.
The facial features of your baby will start forming slowly at this stage, the ears, tongue, and vocal cords are also developing. The spinal cord of your baby has a tail, this contains about 10 vertebrae, the structure disappears as your body continues to grow. You may notice limbs that look similar to paddle-like protrusions on the body which will turn out to be hands and feet.
Amazing, in just six weeks so much has happened.
Mom, you may still be coming to terms with the news that you are entering parenthood, your body is changing, and the symptoms of early pregnancy are taking over. You may have gained a few pounds by now and started noticing changes to your body, but there is no bump yet. You may realize some of the everyday foods you love, make you sick sometimes just the smell of it.
While most doctors do not ask for an ultrasound at this point, it is possible to have one done, you may be able to see the release of the egg or eggs. It is good to note that multiple ovulation at this point does not mean you are having twins; it will be about 2 weeks again before a scan can tell.
