Implantation, the fertilized egg, which is called a zygote, starts dividing rapidly over the next few days as it travels down the fallopian tube to form the blastocyst. This minuscule ball containing hundreds of cells then implants itself in the uterus lining.

The outer part of the blastocyst will become the placenta, connecting the fetus to the uterus blood vessels for sustenance. The inner part turns into the embryo.

Mom, while implantation may sometimes have no symptoms, there is the possibility you can experience cramps, nausea, spotting, or bleeding.
